Far from the city there was a little village full of giant trees. These tall trees, green and beautiful, made the lives of the village children fresh and full of energy every day.
In this village there lived a little boy named Ali. Ali loved nature and the great trees. Every morning he went early to a big garden where the giant trees stood out. The first thing Ali did was water the trees. With a cup of water in his hand, he came close to each tree and poured the water carefully onto their roots.
One of the trees shone more than the others. This great, precious tree was named Oak, and with its tall green leaves it always threw shade over the village. Oak was known as the leader of the trees, and everyone gave him great respect and value.
One day, a greedy mayor named Mr. Gerdari came to the village. He was looking for fine, costly wood to make furniture. Mr. Gerdari looked at the giant trees and decided to cut some of them down and take them to the city to sell.
Oak was sad when he heard this news. He said that the giant trees were needed to keep the village beautiful and the air healthy, and that they should not be cut. But Mr. Gerdari sat in his seat of power and decided to cut a few of the best trees in the village.
Ali heard this news and grew worried. He went to Oak and asked what they should do. Oak smiled at Ali and said, “We must all join hands to protect the trees. Beautiful, great trees are like our friends, and they should always stay beside us.”
Oak, Ali, and the other children of the village decided together to tell Mr. Gerdari that he should not cut the trees, and that he should care for nature instead. They sang songs about the beauty of the trees and why they matter, went to Mr. Gerdari, and persuaded him to keep the trees and protect them instead of cutting them down.
After hearing the calm, kind voices of the children, Mr. Gerdari decided not to cut any tree at all. He promised them that instead of cutting, he would help keep the trees safe, and that he would join a celebration to honor the beauty and value of the trees.
From that day on, the giant trees were protected as a sign of the village’s beauty and natural wealth. Ali and his friends watered them every day and cared for them so they would always stay green and fresh. In this village, everyone remembered that giant trees do not only keep the beauty of nature.
