In a green, lively forest, many animals lived, and each of them had their own special adventures in every season of the year. This forest was full of tall trees, clear rivers, and colorful flowers. As each season passed, the forest changed, and the animals changed along with it.
One spring day, when everything in the forest had woken up, a little rabbit named Lily hopped out of her burrow. She was so happy to see the new flowers and smell the sweet spring air that she ran this way and that. Lily said to her friends, “Spring is here! The flowers have opened and everything has woken up. Let’s play together!”
Lily’s friends—the squirrel, the bird, and the frog—all joined her with joy. They played together, sniffed the flowers, and rested under the warm spring sun. All the animals were glad that spring had come.
But spring passed, and summer arrived. The sun shone brighter every day, and the air grew warmer. The forest animals hid in the shade of the trees to cool down and drank from the rivers. The birds sang, and the squirrels gathered summer fruits.
One summer day, Lily said to her friends, “Summer is so hot! Let’s go to the river and cool off.” They went to the river and played in the water. The frog jumped in happily, and the birds splashed water with their wings.
Summer passed too, and then it was autumn. The leaves of the trees turned beautiful colors—red, yellow, and orange—and fell to the ground. The forest animals began to get ready for winter. The squirrels gathered acorns, and the birds got ready to fly to warmer places.
Lily said to her friends, “Autumn is so beautiful! The leaves have turned such pretty colors. Let’s play with the leaves together.” They gathered the colorful leaves and tossed them into the air. Everyone enjoyed playing with the autumn leaves.
When winter came, the forest changed completely. Snow covered everything, and the air grew cold. The animals tucked into their warm homes, and some of them went into a long winter sleep. Lily stayed in her burrow, warm and safe beside her family.
One winter day, Lily woke up and peeked outside. She saw that everything was covered in snow. Lily said to her friends, “Winter is here and everywhere is white! Let’s build a snowman together.” They came out of their homes and built a big snowman. The frog got used to the cold, and the birds used the seeds they had gathered so they could stay well.
The days passed, and winter came to an end too. Spring returned and brought the promise of freshness and new life. Lily and her friends came out of their homes and saw that the flowers had opened again and the trees had turned green.
Lily said to her friends, “We have gone through all four seasons, and each season had its own beauties and its own challenges. We changed with the seasons and learned how to stay well and stay happy in every kind of weather.”
Lily’s friends looked at her with smiles, and they all agreed. They understood that seasonal changes are part of life, and that we should enjoy every moment and be ready for change.
And that is how the story of seasonal changes and how they touch the lives of the forest animals came to an end. The forest animals were still happy with every new season, and ready for new adventures.
The End.
