In a small, beautiful village called Golestan, the people lived with happiness and peace. This village was full of green gardens and colorful flowers. But the people of Golestan had a big secret: they knew about a kind giant who lived in the mountains near the village.
This kind giant was known as Arash. Unlike other giants, Arash had a big heart and always thought about helping people. He had a big body, but his heart was made of gold. Whenever the people needed help, Arash came to their aid.
One summer day, when the sun was shining in the sky, a big problem came to the village of Golestan. The spring from which the people drank and watered their gardens dried up. The people grew worried and did not know what to do.
The oldest and wisest man in the village, Haji Kazem, said to the people, “We must tell Arash, the kind giant. He will surely have a solution for this problem.”
The people of the village decided that a few representatives should go to the mountains and ask Arash for help. So three of the brave young people of the village — Ali, Hassan, and Zahra — set out to reach Arash’s cave.
After hours of walking, they reached Arash’s big, beautiful cave. Zahra said in a loud voice, “Kind Arash! May we talk with you?” After a few moments, Arash answered in a gentle, friendly voice, “Hello, little friends! What has happened that you have come here?”
Ali said, “Kind Arash, the spring of our village has dried up, and we do not know what to do. Can you help us?”
Arash smiled kindly and said, “Of course I will help. Come, let us go to the spring together and see what the problem is.”
Arash set off toward the village with his big steps, together with Ali, Hassan, and Zahra. When they reached the spring, Arash looked at it carefully and saw that a big rock had blocked the flow of water. With his strength, Arash moved the rock, and the spring water flowed again.
The people of the village gathered happily around Arash and thanked him. Haji Kazem said, “Arash, you have always helped us, and we are very grateful to you.”
Arash answered with a smile, “I am always happy that I can help you. Your kindness and friendship are the best reward for me.”
The days passed, and Arash went on helping the people of Golestan. He was always ready, whenever there was a need, to hurry to the people’s aid. The people of the village also looked at Arash with love and respect, and every year they held a great feast for him.
One autumn day, when the leaves of the trees had turned beautiful colors, the village faced a new problem. One night, a strong wind and a great storm damaged the roofs of many houses. The people grew worried and did not know how to repair their houses.
The next morning, Haji Kazem said to the people, “We must ask Arash for help again. He will surely have a way to help us.”
This time, Ali and Zahra went toward Arash’s cave with the little children of the village. Zahra said in a loud voice, “Kind Arash! May we talk with you?” Arash answered at once, “Hello, little friends! What has happened that you have come here again?”
Ali said, “Kind Arash, a great storm has broken the roofs of our houses. Can you help us?”
Arash answered with a smile, “Of course I will help. Let us go to the village.”
Arash returned to the village with the children and, with his strength and skill, began to repair the roofs. He repaired the roofs quickly and carefully and made the people’s houses safe and comfortable again.
The people of the village thanked Arash once more, and Haji Kazem said, “Arash, you have always shown us that kindness and friendship are the best gifts.”
Arash answered with a smile, “I am blessed by your kindness and friendship too. I am always ready to help you.”
And so Arash, the kind giant, always had a place in the hearts of the people of Golestan, and the people of the village went on with their lives in joy and peace. Every year they held a great feast for Arash and told the stories of his kindness and help for the generations to come.
The End.
