In a small, beautiful village that was always full of snow and ice, a boy named Arad lived with his family. Arad loved winter and always played in the snow with his friends. They built big snowmen and threw snowballs at one another.
One cold winter day, Arad decided to build a very big snowman. With his friends’ help he began to gather snow, and they made a very big, beautiful snowman. Arad said excitedly, “Let’s name this snowman the Snow Giant!”
His friends agreed with joy, and they all shouted together, “Hello, Snow Giant!”
Suddenly, in the middle of their wonder and excitement, the big snowman opened his eyes and said in a kind voice, “Hello, children! I am the Snow Giant. I am so glad you made me.”
Arad and his friends looked at the Snow Giant with surprise and eagerness. They could not believe their snowman had come to life. Arad smiled and said, “Hello, Snow Giant! Can you play with us?”
The Snow Giant said happily, “Of course I can! I love to play with you.”
The children and the Snow Giant began to play. They made snow hills and slid down them. With his big hands the Snow Giant made giant snowballs and threw them carefully toward the children to make them glad and happy.
One day, while the children were playing with the Snow Giant, they noticed a little hungry animal hiding near a tree. Arad said to the Snow Giant, “Snow Giant, we must help this little animal. He is hungry.”
The Snow Giant said kindly, “Yes, we must help him. I can build a shelter for him with the snow.”
With his big hands the Snow Giant made a warm, soft shelter of snow, and Arad and his friends brought some food for the little animal. The little animal went into the snow shelter happily and ate. He looked at the Snow Giant and the children with bright, happy eyes and said in his small voice, “Thank you! You are very kind.”
The days passed, and the children played with the Snow Giant every day. But winter slowly came to an end, and the snow began to melt. Arad and his friends were worried that the Snow Giant would melt too and be gone.
Arad said to the Snow Giant with worry, “Snow Giant, we don’t want to lose you. What can we do?”
The Snow Giant said with a kind smile, “Don’t worry, my dear friends. I am always in your hearts. Whenever winter returns and the snow falls, I will come back too. Just remember to always be kind and help one another.”
Arad and his friends said to the Snow Giant with eyes full of tears, “We will always remember you, and we will wait for winter so we can play together again.”
When spring came, the Snow Giant slowly melted and turned into drops of water. But Arad and his friends promised that every winter they would build a new Snow Giant and keep their sweet memories alive with him.
And so Arad and his friends learned that kindness and friendship always stay in the heart, even if their Snow Giant melts in summer. They looked at the future with joy and hope and waited for winter so they could build their Snow Giant again and play with him.
The End.
