Once upon a time, in a little town, there was a make-believe bird named the Iron Bird. He was not an ordinary bird, and he was not quite a magic bird either. He was made of iron, with wings of iron beams and feathers of iron sheets. But the strangest thing about him was that he never came down to the ground. He was always flying in the sky.
At first the Iron Bird was all alone. He had been made in his little home, which was a blacksmith’s workshop. An old blacksmith named Mr. Rohani had designed him to show the world that even an iron bird can follow his wishes.
One day, the Iron Bird decided to go looking for adventure. He spread his feathers with pride and flew up into the sky. With every day that passed after that, he visited lands near and far and met people and other animals.
One day, on a journey to a faraway island, the Iron Bird met a small yellow bird named Swallow. Swallow was a kind, warm-hearted bird. She liked him and became his friend. Together they flew and looked at the beauties of the island.
The Iron Bird said to Swallow, “I am made of iron, and I never come down to the ground. But I am so happy to see this beautiful world and to be friends with you.”
Swallow smiled at him and said, “Whatever you are, I love you. It does not matter what you are made of. What matters is that your heart is good.”
The Iron Bird was happy to hear these words, and he and Swallow became deep friends. They always went to other lands together and had an adventure every day.
And that is how the Iron Bird understood that it does not matter what you are made of. What matters is that your heart is full of love and friendship. He always flew back to his blacksmith’s workshop, and Mr. Rohani listened to his adventures with pride and always said to him, “You are not a make-believe bird. You are a real bird whose heart is full of friendship.”
And that is how the Iron Bird and Swallow always went on adventures together and felt what real friendship is, while each of them, in their own way, was special in their world.
The End.
